I think you should mention your question specifically because I don't understand what are you trying to say.

Vege

could you rephrase that as a complete sentence?

um...I'm neither, I'm an omnivore (but i dont eat red meat)

humans would die within mnths if they were carnivores....that's disgusting.

Carnivore or Herbivore.............Proud Herbivore!!

Vegetarian. You can't live on meat alone. You'd get scurvy (among other things)

I was a vegetarian for nine years (except for the times I cheated or took communion-- all together I think it was less than five. Cheating was eating meat. Communion counts, for me, because I was raised Catholic. Catholics believe that the host is the body of Jesus. Bodies are flesh. And I was a vegetarian so I wasn't supposed to eat flesh, so it counts as cheating cause I was and I knew I was doing it. This is how I feel about my time as a vegetarian at least. You can decide how you feel about your own vegetariansim). For the first eight years I was a standard Ovo-lacto vegetarian. The last year I was also a Pesca-vegetarian (I ate fish). I wasn't a vegetarian because of animal rights. I know a lot of people are, and thats fine, its just that I always saw angus in the pastures and thought "yummy cows" I became a vegetarian because I didn't like the texture of meat, which is sort of a strange reason but I had really just had it with eating bad meat and biting into strange things. I couldn't stand biting into one more hard unidentifiable bit during lunch at school. Gross! So I became a vegetarian. It was fine. I didn't really miss meat-- I hadn't been that into it and I had a school cafeteria to look at and remind me why. There was always something I could eat like a salad or cheese sandwhich so that was ok. Then I grew up and graduated. Living in dorms and their cafeterias wasn't tempting either. I studied abroad and I had a kitchen in a house (with ten other people) and I bought yummy vegetarian stuff. Then the year after I came back to the states and I had a kitchen again. But this time I started to get cravings for meat. I have always hated eggs (I don't know why) so I started to eat seafood. About a year after that I got sick. I was really sick for a while and I became anemic and it was then I started having crazy red meat cravings. So I decided maybe I would try not being a vegetarian for a while. I started eating hamburgers. They were good. My boyfriend had me try filet mignon. Also good. I discovered that there was some really good meat out there. So I have been eating meat again for about three years now. I like it. But I only eat the meat I want to. I hate chicken 99% of the time. So I don't eat chicken. No cheap meat. I'm picky about the parts I put in my mouth-- no one can tell me to finish my plate now or hide things under a bun. I know better.

So I think it depends. I think being a vegetarian when I was growing up was better because it gave me more control over my diet and I was able to eat better food and also healthier food. I think that being a carnivor (or rather omnivor as someone so aptly pointed out) is better now because now I am already in control and in a position to make choices and meat purchases. I also think being a vegetarian gave me a lot of good experience cooking and learning about nutrition.

I eat meat and vegies. Afew years back I considered the life of a vegeterian. but I just couldn't imagine how my body could adjust. I applaude those who live this lifestyle.

I am a content vegetarian. I was crippled when I ate meat, now I am perfectly fine.

Why would you ask this question in the Vegetarian section? Regardless of that, humans can't be carnivores because you can not get many of the nutrients you need from just eating meat. You would get sick.

I would rather be Vegan and I am.

I adopted a whole-grain vegetarian diet over thirty years ago and have never looked back. I'm almost vegan now and am very healthy, enjoy delicious food, and have a clear conscience. What's not to like? ;)
