As a vegetarian can you eat shrimp.... any sea food period?!

Question:

As a vegetarian can you eat shrimp.... any sea food period?

Answers:
Eating fish and calling yourself a vegetarian
is just like calling yourself a millionaire when your net worth is $5.

If you eat sea animals you're not vegetarian. If the seafood is sea plants, then you'd still be vegetarian. (Note a sea cucumber is an animal.)

No. Vegetarians do not eat any animals whatsoever.

Depends, I am a vegetarian who eats fish, so i would eat them. But alot of vegetarians dont eat any fish as they class it as meat. Down to personal preference and the reason why youre a vegetarian. :-)

unless your under some weird court order you can eat whatever you want

Pescatarians eat fishand seafood, but no other forms of animal flesh. They cannot be called vegetarians. (Veg = no animals).

That depends..............vegetaria... seem to define what makes a vegetarian based on their own wants and needs. Some say you can eat fish and seafood and others say you can't.

Why are all vegetarians so clueless? You either eat meat or you don't. Sure there are all kinds of categories that CONVENIENTLY excuse supposed-vegetarians and allow them to eat fish or chicken, but those things are still animal proteins people. Do some research and figure it out.

Eat all the shrimp and sea food you like, but calling yourself a vegetarian would be lying.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Vegetarianism is the practice of not consuming the flesh of "any" animal, with or without also eschewing other animal derivatives, such as dairy products or eggs. Some vegetarians choose to also refrain from wearing clothing which has involved the death of animals, such as leather, silk and fur. Veganism, sometimes called "strict vegetarianism", excludes all animal products from diet and attire, whether or not their production has involved the actual death of an animal (dairy, eggs, honey, wool, silk and down feathers). Vegetarians have varied motivations including religious, cultural, financial, ethical, political, environmental, economic, and health concerns.

Fish and other sea creatures are not plants that for sure, the only sea food a vegetarian would eat is sea vegetables.

My daughters best friend eats fish like tuna, ect just not meat and she is vegetarian. Isn't it a vegan that eats basically nothing but fruit, veggies, and such

not as a vegetarian. People who eat seafood, but not meat are pescavores.

GAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!! I have had it with people asking if they can eat this or that and call themselves something. Let me give you a tip. Don't bother yourself with labels. If you think it feels right to eat shrimp or seafood, eat it. If you are wondering if they are animals, the answer is yes, seafood is animal. You are eating the muscle of an animal just as with any other type of meat. If, now that you are sure that it is meat it doesn't seem right to eat it, then don't, but don't worry about getting yourself to fit into some diet.

If you do eat any meat, including seafood, and someone asks you if you are a vegetarian don't say, "Yes, but I do eat seafood." That gets a lot of people upset. Say no, I eat some seafood.

NO.

when you eat seafood your not considered a vegetarian any more..

Fish is not considered meat so yah you can.

No, animals are not on the menu for vegetarians.

noooo it's called vegetarianism--no meat what so ever--that means anything that was once alive with a brain, nerves etc. will NOT be eaten
