Are there any common Frozen Pizza's w/out rennet?
I've gone to the Whole Foods Market a few times and they have great frozen, rennet less pizza. However it is far out of my way and quite expensive. I'm looking for a common frozen pizza brand (i.e. Jack's, Red Baron) that you can buy at a Walmart Supercenter or typical grocery store.

Nah 'cause they all use real cheese. Rennet is used to make cheese. Your whole foods pizza probably uses soy cheese.
how about a boboli and some soy cheese or sometimes it's labeled immitation cheese, but it's made from soy.
I am not sure, but good question. I use vegetarian rennet to make homemade cheese-I would think you could likely get a vegetarian rennet and make your own pizza-I know they sell ready to top crusts at most markets
The vast majority of cheese in this country, especially cheaper, non-artisanal cheese, is made with vegetarian rennet. This is because it is cheaper than using "real" rennet. There are three sources of vegetarian rennet- the most common for mass production comes from a microbe that has been genetically engineered to produce chymosin (the enzyme that coagulates the milk). This type of rennet is produced in vats. Traditional rennet comes from the lining of young ruminant stomachs. You can imagine which one is easier to come by and less expensive in a production setting. In 1999, 60% of the hard cheese produced in the US was made with genetically engineered chymosin, and that number has only gone up in the last 8 years.
One quick way to check if your favorite pizza has vegetarian rennet is to look for a kosher seal (usually a K in a circle or star very small on the back corner somewhere). The use of animal rennet to make cheese is not kosher, because it constitutes mixing of meat and dairy.
Amy's pizza is organic and animal rennet free.
