"People who don’t eat red meat but do eat chicken or fish are making a very important first step, but they aren’t vegetarians. We usually call such people meat-reducers."

Some do , some don't. It really depends on how hardcore of a vegetarian the person is. A hardcore person doesn't want ANYTHING to do with any kind of anything from an animal, a less agressive vegetarian would eat stuff from the animal as long as its not slaughtered.
My niece is a vegetarian. She eats chicken, fish, eggs and she drinks milk. I hope this helps.
There are different types of vegetarians. Vegans eat no animal products at all. Lacto-vegetarians eat dairy, and ovo-lacto vegetarians eat dairy and egg products. True vegetarians do not consume fish.
it depends. a full blown vegan will not eat any living animal or it's by-products. some vege heads will eat dairy and some people just swear off red meat and poultry, but will eat swimmers (things that swim). they can not truly call themselves vegetarians.
A veggan will not eat any animal products.
Some vegetarians will eat daily products.
Vegetarian eat some animal product ,the peoples that no eat any animal product are call ,Vegan,no honey, milk ,butter, etc.
Most vegetarians fudge a little, the serious ones called vegans eat nothing connected with anything that has a face, nothing prepared, nothing cooked.
all those but not fish
and if more people are vegetarians this would never have happened, you ever hear of fat can clog up your arterys? well.... chicken fat can clog up your citys major highway

Sometimes. I just converted one to mexican food. Them taco's sure were good.
if for chinese people, vegetarians cannot eat something alive(ex: animal). vegetarians can drink milk but cannot eat egg and fish cause it is a part of animals
eggs and milk yes fish no
theres different types, vegan (no animal products whatsoever) lacto-vegetarian (dairy is ok) and ovo-vegetarians (eggs are ok)
however most vegetarians are vegetarians for the animals sake. (ever watch real footage from slaughterhouses filmed by PETA?) and even milk cows and chickens are widely abused.
Come on, you really dont think dairy cows and egg chickens spend all day in the field enjoying themselves?
There are different kinds of vegetarians.
Vegans eat absolutely no animal products whatsoever. No fish, eggs, milk, cheese, meat products of any sort.
Lacto-Ovo vegetarians eat milk and egg products.
My father in law followed a vegetarian diet where he didn't eat "anything that had ever had a face". So oysters were in, crab was out.
Then there are "vegetarians" who eat shellfish or fish and even some who eat chicken.
When you are a vegetarian you can decide what you want to eat because she people cut out all the foods that are produced by the animals or that the animals are killed for, If I turn vegetarian I will stop eating meat but i will still eat fish so in other words its up to YOU!!!! email me if you like!!!
There are different types of vegetarianism but none of them eat animal flesh.
This vegetarian doesn't! :-)
LOL. Some do...Most veggies will not eat fish b/c it's an animal. But they will drink milk and eat eggs.
Vegans will not partake in any of the three you mentioned.
from what i know vegetarians can be of 2 types. 1)by religion 2)by choice.By choice they eat somethings and leave some by their choice and beliefs but by religion like JAIN'S who follow MAHAVIRA and INDIAN religion by origin don't eat EGGS , NO FISH , and don't DRINK MILK AFTER FEW YEARS OF CHILDHOOD ie once child starts to eat food or if at all then after the calf has had its feed what ever left over can be consumed by them IDEOLOGICALLY not to hurt anything that is living
pescatarians eat fish, but no meat. Vegetarians have milk and eggs. Vegans consume no animal products, or use products that came from or were tested on animals.
I'm a lacto-ovo vegetarian so I dont eat fish but I do consume eggs and milk. There are some vegetarians who eat fish though. Eggs are a controversial topic amongst Hindus who are vegetarian. In India its considered a non-veg item.
well there are many different types of vegetarians:
Pescatarians do not eat animal flesh with the exception of fish. Dairy is ok, but not eggs.
Lacto-Ovo Vegetarians do not eat fish or any other animal flesh but do eat eggs and dairy.
Ovo-Vegetarians do eat eggs but no dairy or animal flesh.
Vegans (I am vegan myself) do not eat any animal flesh or animal products and no dairy, eggs or animal product derivatives.
Flexitarian/ Semi-Vegetarians generally eat dairy products and may make exceptions for certain types of meat such as fish.
Hope that helps! Good luck if you are considering vegetarianism/vegan lifestyle. I have never had meat before in my life and I am happy to say that this lifestyle is incredibly easy and healthy!!!
