Do you feel something "spiritual" when you eat food knowing who grew it for you?!

Question:

Do you feel something "spiritual" when you eat food knowing who grew it for you?

I always feel so much better after I eat homegrown and home made food...
It feels like a spiritual recovery from all the garbage you get everywhere else...

Anyone else experience this?

Answers:
Not only spiritual, but physical. I recovered completely from a 12 year long crippling illness by avoiding processed garbage and growing my own veggies and fruits. I don't trust what is available in the food supply-to much hidden stuff, genetically modified foods, preservatives, chemicals, etc. Yes, I feel very spiritual when I harvest something from my garden, knowing that me, mother earth, and God created it. Marvelous feeling! It makes me feel part of something special, especially since I never gardened in my life, but have learned the skills necessary to grow my own food.

Yes there is something special about it. It's almost like traveling back in time to how our ancestors lived off the land, it feels almost pure, clean, honest & HOLY. It feels healthier maybe because we actually know where it came from and it's not full of preservatives and dies!

Yes, In cultures where relatives grow food for other family members this is very common. This exists today in Native American cultures and has not gone away. And I'm glad someone else has found this to be true.

its very strange how that works that way, but yes i do feel better knowing the person that grew the vegetables or homemade foods. i had a friend i've known since i was in high school he was a janitor there raised his children in same school. he grew the best home grown garden vegetables anyone could ever have. yes, he has passed on recently sadly.

No, not really... But I grew up on farms and still grow a *lot* of my own food.

On the other hand; It does feel weird when I need to buy veggies from the store. I never really thought about it but I guess it's because I know how stale "fresh" produce is at the stores and I also know how much "care" went into producing it. You should spend a year at an 'organic' farm, it's a lot of fun seeing them spray EPA approved 'organic' bug sprays and still getting to call it "pesticide free organic"! Yes, that really is allowed under the US 'organic' regulations!!

Food is not spiritual, that is unless you are high. Then everything is spiritual.

No,But that sounds freaky man!

how can you compare that to grow it is beautiful and the taste is wow I agree with you 100%
