Can a vegetarian eat sea food?!
Can a vegetarian eat sea food?
Answers:
As others have stated we can eat plants that come from the sea. If you are asking about sea animals the answer is that there is NO form of vegetarian that eats sea animals since they are in FACT animals! This topic comes up enough that I've grown to dislike it with a passion!!! Please hit the link on my sig that is listed below. It contains the *correct* term for those who eat fish.

Vegetarians do not eat fish. A fish eater is a Piscivore. Spread the correct word!

No, because then you would be a pescatarian.
It depends. When some people say they are vegetarian they say - I don't eat meat. Others say- I don't eat anything with a face. It just depends.
No
kelp is popular :-) not fish and crab and stuff
No, you could not becuase vegetarian eat vegtables and eating sea food is eating animals.
standardly vegetarians dont eat meat of any kind, but I know
that some "vegetarians" just dont eat red meat...meaning they aren't really vegetarians.....they just dont eat red meat.
SO I guess the answer is NO!!
I live with two vegetarians and they eat no meat.....or
fake meat (which isnt really that bad) and I'm no vegetarian
No. Generally Vegetarians do not eat Seafood. There are some, called "pesco's" that are fish-eating vegetarians, but this is not true vegetarianism. Vegetarians are different than Vegans, in that Vegans are very strict, and will not eat anything or wear anything that comes from an animal.
No, only some types of vegetarians.
seafood in the definition of food from the sea, they can eat kelp and seaweed yum! Shelfish and fish no.
no because fish quailifies as a meat and vegetarians dont eat anything w/ a face
Well if people say you can't eat meat so then they eat fish/seafood so I guess that means you can eat it. Like when catholic people have that with the ash Wednesday and every Friday to Easter Sunday they don't eat meat but they do eat seafood. So it's your choice if you want to eat it or not.
Sort of, but no. That would make you a piscitarian. Some people decide not to eat meat but still it seafood because it is commonly beleived that fish have no feelings. Plus, they're delicious.
No, a vegetarian does not eat any meat.
They're are different types of vegetarians. So depending on the philosophy you follow, it's possible. There is Pesco-vegetarianism, which allows the eating of seafood. There are also lacto-ovo vegetarians who eat eggs and dairy. Vegans do not eat fish, dairy, or eggs, or use ani,al products. Again, it just depends on your own personal philosophy.
No , fish is dead flesh so they can't eat it. I'm a vegan - I don't eat dairy eggs or honey either.
Not unless its seaweed.
yes, but then they wouldn't be a vegetarian anymore.
A vegetarian can eat anything that they want. There are no vegetarian police that will come and arrest them if they stray.
However, a person could no longer correctly be labled as vegetarian if they ate seafood. A true vegetarian eats nothing from the animal kingdom, and this includes seafood.
It depends on what degree of vegetarian you are. If you are vegan or hard core vegetarian, then no. If you like seafood, you can always be a pescovegetarian, which means you avoid all meat except fish.
They sure can! But they wouldn't be vegetarians anymore because vegetarians don't eat flesh and eating fish is eating flesh.
Hope this helps!
No. Vegetarians do not eat the flesh of any animal.
