Rape is a grain (with an unfortunate name). So yes, it is suitable for a vegan.
if it's 100% pure rapeseed oil, then it should not contain any other stuff.... you need to check the ingredients label to be sure, but I find it highly unlikely that it would contain fish oils.
rapeseed oil and fish do contain the same types of beneficial oils - omega-3's. Maybe that's what the internet article was saying.
no, rapeseed oil is really just canola oil. they just call it canola becuaes "rape"seed wouldn't go over to well. and they call it canola because it comes from canada
Its grown in most of the fields here where i live and when it blooms all you see is yellow...so i would say its veggie
Yep, thumbs up for Renzo! And mind you, natural rapeseed oil contains erucic acid, which is mildly toxic to humans in large doses but is used as a food additive in smaller doses. However, nothing to do with fish oils, apart from the fact, that it also contains omega 3 which is found in fish oil.
it shouldnt have, rapeseed is a crop, just like wheat, the oil is extracted from the crop and so no animals should be includes, well maybe the odd bug.
check the back of the packet just to be sure nothing dodgy is going on
Here's a link with all you ever need to know about rapeseed oil!
It is genetically engineered. So it might actually contain animal DNA. You see, the plant is toxic. Apparently it's useless that we have so many healthy oils around like olive, palm and coconut. So we have to genetically engineer poisonous plants and eat them too.
what? crazy, rapesee oil is canola oil, and it's from like from a sunflower tree or something, it's so vegan dude
Rapeseed is a plant with a bad name.So yes oil from it's seeds is fine for us vegans. It is also called canola oil.
It is a good plant source of Omega oils which are found in fish which is maybe what you got confused by?
Best to look for non-gm organic oil though as with all plants.
Farmers grow huge fields of it-look for it in farm areas,it has bright yellow flowers.
