I read that you can make chickpea flour by heating it up?!

I read that you can make chickpea flour by heating it up?

in a skillet until it changes color (not burning it) and running it thru a blender...can you do all beans that way?


Answers:
Yeah, that method works with just about any bean or grain for that matter! Just keep in mind that you don't always have to roast them but it does add a nice toasted nuttiness.

Oh, and coffee grinders work better!

I just buy dried garbanzos then put them through a flour mill.
