Answers:
I'm a vegetarian too, but i don't have a problem with weight. Make sure yu get plenty of excersise- i cycle every morning. Vegetarains can somethimes eat a lot of dairy prducts to supplement the meat which are very fatty. Make sure you vary your diet and include fruit, vegetables, pulses, beans and quorn is great.

excersise along with it

Reduce carbs. Watch your bread and pasta intake. And don't eat after 7:00PM.

become a Vegan.

Thats so weird i have been one for 2 months now but also VEGAN and i have stayed 115 if not a little less dont eat alot of just or bread or things with butterfat good luck to you and thank you for being compasionate

dude that sucks. I'm loving the whole being against animal rights thing but I can't become a vegitatrian because mom is a doctor for eating disorders and she'll weigh me every 2 seconds. I would just excersize more I guess and if you choose me as your best answer, could you tell me if tuna is allowed to be eaten if you go vegetarian? I'd really appreciate it. Btw, I shop at bath and body works for my body washes cuz they're not tested on animals. I love it!

Just because you are a vegetarian that doesn't mean you wont gain weight! If you are eating alot of pasta or breads your carb in take I'm sure is high .So just lay off of that for about 2 weeks you will see a difference :)

I'm a lifelong vegetarian, and the way to do it healthily is to limit your carbohydrates. You can still be a fat vegetarian-- even a fat vegan-- if all you eat is refined white flour in bagels, pasta, pizza, rice, etc. Try making vegetables your main course with the starch as a side instead of the other way around. Also, be sure your snacks are fresh and full of lean protein-- a personal favorite is celery dipped in peanut butter. Also, don't forget to exercise. It's a common misconception that becoming vegetarian will magically shed pounds. It will only work for you if you do it with care!

lol...see...that's called an unbalanced diet.
Good luck.

i,m a simi vegetarian only fish and chicken try powerlifting like bench press and dead lift musle burns fat so does oatmeal. and pepers.

I know from experience. Don't eat sweets, and eat more fruits and vegetables.

How old are you? If you are still growing, then 15 pounds could just be body changes that you would have had with or without meat.

Watch what you are eating. If you are eating nothing but cheese pizza, yogurt, cheese, chinese food, bean burritos, and pastas, you are going to gain weight.

Try using a food journal to see where you are going wrong. http://kraftfoods.com/kf/healthyliving/l... has a great one (use "interactive nutrition diary).

Good luck to you. : )

You may want to cut down on your dairy intake. If you are still including dairy in your diet.

What are you eating? Avoid refined foods like white bread and regular pasta..those are bad carbs. Switch to whole wheat.

Many times, when people first start the vegetarian lifestyle, they start eating a lot of strachy foods: potatoes, breads, pastas, rice, etc. Cut back on that stuff - especially the kind that is processed with bleached (white) flour. Go for whole-grains if you eat that stuff at all.
Eat more veggies, fruit and beans. Creativity is a must! It sounds like you just need some variety in your diet. I was reading in my veggie cookbook about the vegetarian food pyramid. One way that makes this diet simple: look at what you are about to eat. Ask youself a few questions: Is anything here raw? Are there a lot of colors? How much of my food is fresh? (or at least was right before I cooked it?)
This might help you turn towards foods that are better for you. It helps you avoid processed food.
Good luck! (and sorry to hear that you gained weight!)

stop eating potato chips or very high carb food
stop drinking coke, or sports drinks

drink real juice and eat real food

Eat more of vegetables; cut out on roots such potato, sweet potato. Reduce your intake of oils and oil based foods. I am a vegetarian and have never had to diet. I maintain even health and weight appropriate to my height and age.

well you have to do your reserch so you dont get sick so i guess its the same for wieght

What do you put on your salads? And in my opinion I don't think 10 pounds for 6 months is bad.
