It is different from Asian Veg . or Hindu Veg. Airlines serve separate meals.

or Western Vegetarian (strict): No meat of any sort; no dairy products; cooked Western-style

A vegetarian from the west!

That concept is an amalgam of 2 separate classifications:
vegetarian: excluding flesh from diet
westerner: method of cooking is technologically advanced and streamlined for faster, easier food.

a vegetarian in the western hemisphere!

Who cares- they're all nutters

Um... prefers their veggies and tofu smoked slow over a low flame, with loads of barbeque sauce... perhaps free range tofu raised in a bullet free 'wild west' where the streets are still dirty and rough but the cowboys are sensitive and the saloons serve alcohol free wiskey...
