Is there a vegan alternative to bread?!

Question:

Is there a vegan alternative to bread?

Answers:
You can have pita, flat-bread, some English muffins, some bagels and some bread.
Freshly baked bread is often ok.

Look for
Milk, whey, honey, eggs (almost never in bread) and mono&diglicerides. If the bread does not have these ingredients, it is fine.

Also, many companies are making breads with vegetable mono&di's instead of animal because it is cheaper. You can email the companies and ask; I have always had prompt and informative responses.

Here is a link to baked goods considered vegan by PETA.

Huh? Does bread have animal products in it?

Bread is made from vegetables. Wheat flour yeast etc...

Just read the labels for one that doesn't have eggs in it.

you can make ur own bread tht is vegan. mosy breads dont contian animal stuff anyway.

yes... I know that subway's bread is actually a vegan product and if you go to wholefoods.com you can look at products that are breads for vegan; also they have recipes so you can look and see any type of alternative too. hope this helps

flour, water, yeast, sugar(or honey), salt, vegetable oil. that makes bread. you can leave out the oil if you want.make your own! its easy and better for you

Yes, we use Sunbeam brand, just read the labels for a brand that doesn't have milk.

There are vegan varieties of bread, bread does not have to be made with eggs or milk. And also you could try some vegan types of tortillas or something like that.

some breads are not vegan. Others are unless you classify yeast as an animal.

There are lots of vegan breads. A large brand in the Mid-west Is Natural Ovens.

There's no need for any animal product to produce good bread. Yeast is a plant, not an animal, if that is your concern.

Most breads are vegan. Just read the ingredients.

I think even PETA eats bread.
