The Cheese That we Eat?!

Question:

The Cheese That we Eat?

I have recently studied Swiss Cheese and found that the holes that are on it are mysterious.

Can someone please tell me why Swiss Cheese has holes.

Answers:
Swiss cheese has holes because when the cheese is being processed, ... Eventually the bacteria die. That is why Swiss cheese has its holes!

I think it has to do with gas bubbles that form when it is being made.

it can be from gas bubbles released by bacteria cultured to separate cheese into whey and curd. this bacteria also gives cheese its distinct rich taste. but, it can be from alcohol and yeast as they are used speciifcally in making swiss cheese
