Vegetarian Detox Diet?!

Question:

Vegetarian Detox Diet?

I am not a vegetarian but I am interested in going on a vegetarian detox diet.
I am a chef so I know how to make a number of vegetarian dishes and I also know the values of certain vegetables.
I was wondering if anyone has a tried and true vegetarian detox plan that that has worked for them.

Answers:
Yeah,I ate nothing but raw foods for a month.Raw nuts, raw fruits and veggies, water.I've heard of a 21 day detox.First week you can eat only fruits and veggies, cooked or raw.Second week you can only eat raw fruits and veggies.Third week you can only eat blended smoothies and juices.

i've never tried it but my mom has and it worked for her.
good luck =)

There's a book called "Juice Fasting & Detoxification", I recommend that, it helped me alot.

Also, you can try the "Master Cleanse" aka the lemonade diet where you drink only lemon juice for 10 days.

I got 2 books on it a couple weeks ago and they suggest that it be done during spring or summer, so I'm waiting until April to do the diet. I'll probably be doing either a smoothie diet or a regular juice diet.

i've never herd of the vegetarian dexton diet, but i'm a vegetarian and its not tht hard. so maybe try being veggie b4 you do the diet thiing so ur used to having no meat.

i think the "detox" part of it is a bunch of bull.

But many vegetables have antioxidants which help renew cells. Also the fiber prevents toxins you ingest from sitting too long in your colon and be absorbed. So it only works if you eat a lot of veggies daily as part of your regular diet and not if you go on some crash veggie detox diet temporarily.
