I have some Tofu, how can I cook it?
Any simple recipes can I fry it? how long
It tastes weird, and baked bean give you more protein but I dont want to waste it
Answers:
Tofu has no flavor- it will take on the taste of what you cook it in or with. I prefer to cut it into small 1/2" cubes and brown it lightly in a frying pan with some olive oil-- that will give it a firmer, less mushy texture. Add some onions and garlic and some fresh broccoli and some mushrooms (preferably a portabella). If you need more liquids add something with a flavor you like-- white wine, broth, orange juice, beer, italian dressing, balsalmic, etc... You will need to spice it a bit to your liking- use salt and pepper, maybe some lemon, hotsauce, A1. ANother thing you can do at the beginning is either marinate the tofu cubes in your favorite marinade or use your favorite dry rub. I like to use blackening spices.

You can make tofu nuggets. Cut them lengthwise into pieces and dip each piece into barbecue sauce, then sprinkle salt and garlic powder on it. Put it on a greased cookie sheet and bake at 350 for 20-30 minutes, flipping them over halfway through. It's really good, especially if you cook it until it's crispy!
