What foods do you have to avoid if you're a vegan?
i know you aren't allowed dairy or eggs, but you know stuff that aren't as easy to spot. as in when i turned vegetarian i had no idea gelatin was made from bones (or something) so that type of thing except for vegans. i hope i made this question clear enough, thanks.

Lots of stuff. Most candy, so far as I can tell, isn't vegan. Many breads aren't.

Refried beans are made with lard (from animals) but there are "vegetarian" refrieds.
Anything that comes from animals, only fruits or vegitables, hence the name vegietarian.

Wow, props to you! i could never be a vegan!
really, when youre a vegan you cant eat near anything. All you can eat are fruits and Vegetables (things that come from mother nature herself) thats the definition of vegetarian and lots of vegetarians wont eat dairy products because it comes from cow...
but when you become vegan.... on top of all that, including the dairy part, you cannot eat fruits or vegetables that kill the entire thing....
for instance.. if you eat pumpkin, a pumpkin is the single organism, so when you eat that part of the pumpkin youre killing the entire thing, but you can eat things like apples, because if you eat an apple that doesn't mean you killed the entire tree...
on top of eating habits, vegan is a way of life.... id recommend you look it up more on wikipedia.org, but i know you cant use bar soap because that has animal fat in it.
if you do become vegan, you need to eat many vitamin tablets, and find a good source of protein that isn't anything above, because that is the major problem with becoming vegetarian, you dont get enough protein for your muscles.
