Why can't we eat the ends of celery?!

Why can't we eat the ends of celery?

I'm talking about around the leafy parts.


Answers:
you can eat those ends, as well as the actual leaves themselves... many people cut those parts off to even off the ribs, but the leaves are extremely flavorful, and add a lot to soups and stews. for stir fry dishes, you want even sized pieces, so its best to remove the tops & slice diagonally from there. otherwise

You can try and see but to me they taste bittier.

I dont think anyone ever said you couldnt just most people dont.

Eat it. It's fine. Just cut off the most dried up parts of the end, assuming there are some... Wash celery well, it's sprayed heavily with pesticides (one of the "dirty dozen") unless you buy organic- then wash it well just to get the dirt off.

The entire plant is edible!! I frequently use the leafs in salads and soups! The root is also edible just in case you're wondering , makes a nice change from potatoes!

I put the entire celery stalk it my juicer. It's quite tasty.

Actually U can eat them but they may be bitter
because they are more laden with antioxidants
than the rest. Fresh grown celery leaves don't have the bitterness the store type has. The difference is the store kind .. growers sacrifice
some taste so they can keep better.. many products are like that! Sometime the leafy part of fresh grown celery is the best part!
