How come vegitarians are always jerks to those who don't think like them?!

Question:

How come vegitarians are always jerks to those who don't think like them?

Why are they always compelled to get in our face whenever we eat a burger. Why can't they just carry on with they're backwards lifestyles and shut up?

Answers:
I'm a vegetarian. I think there are two kinds of vegetarians:

There is the reasonable ones that make up the vast majority. They follow their own beliefs and don't get in anyone's face about it. I don't think they have a "backwards" lifestyle at all. It's a just a lifestyle choice, my friend.

Then there are the jerks like you said. They make up a very small minority of vegetarians, however. They think "we're right and you're wrong". They are jerks that force their beliefs down people's throats. They only look like they represent all vegetarians because they practically stand on a building and shout their vegetarianism out for the entire world to hear. In reality, any reasonable vegetarian would be a vegetarian and you wouldn't know because they don't shove it in your face. You would have to ask one of these people about it to know of their vegetarianism (or eat with them everyday).

I don't shove it down people's throats. People are usually surprised to find out I'm a vegetarian because I keep it to myself.

Hey! "Crazy Bi Chick" chickens are among the smartest domestic animals. I've read many pages of research that prove it! Try doing a little research before you start answering questions with answers based purely on assumptions.

I also have to agree with kmennie. No one hates the "in your face" vegetarians than sane vegetarians do.

Wackos are intolerant of others while screaming about tolerance for themselves. It is called hypocrisy.

The local heath food store owner still wonders why I pointedly ignore him. When he opened the store he pointedly and obviously snubbed anyone who was overweight or not a Vegan.

Not all vegeterians are wackos .Some of them are pretty nice.
I never get in anyone's face that is eating meat. Everyone is entitled to their on beliefs.

Hey, I wish I could tell u! I know a vegetarian, and whenever I eat meat around her, she sticks her tongue out at me.

They know they're lower on the food chain than us and they're jealous.

I'm a vegetarian and I never get in peoples faces about eating meat. Everyones got a choice.

I know lots of people who give vegetarians abuse for being vegetarian - its goes both ways

Not only vegetarians, but all these people who get insanely into something. I guess it really shows what a bunch of maroons they are.

No, no. It's only a small number of vegetarians, and I assure you that nobody hates them more than the sane vegetarians do.

You have no idea that most vegetarians are actually vegetarians unless you know them well. The normal, mainstream ones don't feel any need to bring it up, and don't give a toss what _you_ eat.

I have a Chinese restaurant nearby, where they serve "regular" "vegetarian" and "vegan" meals. I have never experienced anyone getting in my face over what I chose to eat. Often I eat there with a friend, who is vegan, and I order what I'd like with no problem. 'Live and let live' is the rule most folks live by.

And you postng this in the vegetarian and vegan section is doing just what exactly ?

Your comments are just a meat-eaters cliche that is quoted many times, but never actually backed up with facts.

If i believed all you meateaters, you all know thousands of veggies. Funny that, eh ?

Are you actually telling us that whenever you eat a burger a veggie gets in your face. What ? EVERY TIME, are you SURE ??

Thought not.

because it's bad for your health man, your eating a thing with a face, lol 1111111lol11111111lol111111
you're the backward man

Because they already know what You think of them. Try being a bit more positive, buddy. And if they still annoy you, remember you shan't judge a group of peoples by the actions of a few. It's like judging one misogynistic republican for all republicans or one hot-headed democrat for all democrats. (pardon me if I have offended anyone's political affiliation.) Wish the wrongdoers, which may not be vegetarians, necessarily, well, you'll be laughing when they're rotting. (if you're christian, i.e.)

I am a vegetarian, and I don't get in peoples faces that eat meat. Most of my family, and all of friends eat meat. I expect them to respect me and my decision, just as I respect them.

They're kinda like the Democrats. Their way or the highway.

Cows and chickens are stupid and tasty! That's why we eat them...they are bread to be food.

Let me toss that one right back at you -- why do you feel compelled to come here and insult us by saying that we have "backwards lifestyles?" You're certainly up in our face, and I'm willing to bet that not one of us has ever done anything to you.

Pot, kettle -- shut up. Get the picture?

And while you're in a learning mode, the words you were after are: "their," "vegetarian," and "backward."

usually it's because they are trying to "save the animals" (which would throw off the enitre ecosystem btw if everyone stopped eating animals) and someone who's eating meat is "killing that animal"

just tell them they're killing trees next time they use a piece of paper.

So wait... let me see if I can get this...

you are entering a vegetarian section
to push your views on vegetarians
while insulting their lifestyles
and getting "in their faces"
as well as calling them jerks

to ask about why vegetarians get into peoples faces...

Um hmmm.
There is something backwards here.
Let me know when you gain the mental capacity to see the irony in this situation.

How come republicans feel the need to insult anyone that don't agree with them? HUH! You caalled all us vegetarians jerks and then say we got a backwards life! Why don't you go rig a voting machine and leave us alone!!!

dude...dont generalize...maybe there are a few bad apples...not all

I dont get into peoples face aobut eating meat, I just ask that they do not shove meat in my face

Ok look i used to be a vegetarian and i didnt get into peoples faces about their choice of lifestyle. yes i did mess with my friends about it but i never bothered people with it.

actually you guys always give a hard time to us. I don't care what other eat but you guys always talks about meat and how delicious it is and ..................

Vegetarians get in your face every time you eat a burger?
Are you as sure about that as your boy was about Iraq
having W.M.D. s?

Man--- you right wingers really do have some active
imaginations.

I think people should be respectful of each others choices. I have gone out to restaurants with vegans before and have ordered a chicken sandwich. I actually asked my vegan friend if she would mind because I didn't want her to feel bad. It doesn't hurt to try to be respectful at least, does it?

No actually, it's the other way around.

Do not generalize. I am vegetarian and I don't get in other peoples face when they eat something I don't. I loved hamburgers before but I had a very bad sickness that obligated me to become vegetarian and I have to say that this change saved my life. It is not a "vegetarian" thing to do that. It depends on the person and their compassion towards others. But I also know many vegetarians that do so because their life changed dramatically when they stopped eating meat and they really want their friends to experience and benefit from being vegetarian.

You're the one who comes into the Vegetarian section and tells us to "eat a steak you ******* hippie!"

Who's the jerk here?

i have never bugged my friends about eating meat. actually, they're the ones who make fun of me and threaten to hide meat in my food.

Why do jerks assume that all vegitarians are like that, what a vast over steryotipical ignorant jackass

I'm a vegetarian.

I don't get up in people's faces. And I don't talk **** when someone eats meat. However, I do have conversations with my friends and family about the benefits to being a vegetarian. We have debates at school about it even. As a vegetarian, I care about other people learning about vegetarians so they aren't so ignorant. Vegetarianism is a wonderful lifestyle, there's so many advantages to choosing not to eat meat. And it's a choice for us, just like it is a choice for you to eat meat. I think that the people who chose to eat meat are a lot more cruel towards the vegetarians, then the other way around. People mock our organizations (People Eating Tasty Animals), and wear shirts that belittle our beliefs. I've never seen a shirt that degraded meat eaters or mock organizations. Have you?

Also, if you are going to criticize vegetarians, learn how to spell it!
