Is caramel color vegan?!

Question:

Is caramel color vegan?

Answers:
Carmel color is a common food coloring and flavoring that is usually derived from corn. It is derived from vegetable sources, and is considered vegan. It is used in soft drinks, baked goods, candy, ice cream, and meats to impart a brown color, and also as a flavoring.

Very. It is only the color, not the acctual milk from carmal

Caramel is a sugar, sugar comes from sugar cane, which is a living plant.

^^^Don't think the last person got it right.^^^

Caramel coloring may not contain actual caramel, however, it is sure to include some other chemical compound, making it not vegan.

caramel doesnt come from camels. lmao. Yes i think so.

Yes & Gluten free also

No. I've heard that caramel is not vegan. Even in the cola beverages (i.e. pepsi, Dr. Pepper, whatever) because dairy ingredients are used in this. Another example is caramel topping, which has milk in it. Nothing caramel seems to be vegan.
