Can children eat potatoes when they have dirrhea?
what can they have?
Answers:
Yes,in as much as potatoes will not worsen the condition any more than any other food.
But if your child has diarrhea then it's probably best to keep him off anything 'heavy' in the way of meals.
Better to give his stomach time to recover and feed him scrambled egg or fish if you can. These are foodstuffs easier for him to digest whilst still providing nutrition until he is back to normal.
If the diarrhea hasn't gone after a couple of days then consider taking him to the doctor.
One other key point is that diarrhea can cause considerable fluid loss so let him access to drinks
I would think that the starch in the potatoes would help bind their bowels.
Potatoes are fine for that... bananas too
