Reheating Quorn products?!

Question:

Reheating Quorn products?

Hi, is it safe to reheat quorn products, like the mince meat alternative?

Cheers!

Answers:
As long as the product has not been refrozen, you will find no problems. Once frozen a couple of times you may find that some of the product will "separate" the water from protein making them less attractive. As long as they are kept at recommended temperatures and not spoiled you shouldn't experience any toxicity concerns.

yes sure, no problem.

From a taste and texture point of view it tends to dry out so drizzle with oil or cover with tin foil if possible.

If its in a cassorole, no problem, just wind up the oven to 200 oC and open a bottle of red.

Yes...It's no different then heating up anything else.
