And if the alien technology was more advanced, I'd have to say no. I don't think we always use our own technology responsibly. We damned Hetch Hetchy, a valley with beauty comparable to the valley that now draws tourists from around the world. We dropped 2 bombs on Japan and in later years had to restrain MacArthur in his attempts to drop as many as 30 more.
Probably not. We can't handle the technology we have now. Someday we will wake up to find a nuke has taken out a major city. Humans as a whole just don't have the mentality to use powerfuly technology wisely.

We'd just use it to make more weapons to kill people with. Some people say we alreaddy got it and use it for stealth bombers and death rays! I know I seen on the news lately that they made a raygun that make you feel like you're on fire so maybe those people are right.
I think the Internet is alien technology. They are getting us addicted to YouTube in preparation for the invasion.
