Can vegetarians eat chicken, but all other meat, they don't eat?
Answers:
No, vegetarians don't eat any meat, including chicken.
Sure they could, but then they wouldn't be a vegetarian. I like to call them "picky meat eaters" :)
You wouldn't be a Vegetarian, you just wouldn't be a red meat eater.
But what is your point of being vegetarian?
That's what you should be askin'...
But you don't have to be part of a group.
Do what is healthy and right in your heart.
I have heard of some people who call themselves vegetarians who eat chicken & fish and others who just do not eat red meat who do not call themselves vegetarians.
I am a Vegan so No flesh at all but you can have dairy products, such as cheese and milk and butter.
no, if you are vegetarian it means you don't eat meat or poultry of any kind.
My dad is a vegetarian except for fish, and he's very picky about that. I don't think there is a distinction that allows for chicken, but people can do what they like.
ABSOLUTELY NOT!
no they don't.
well you can, but you wouldnt be considered a veggie!! you are still taking the life of another living animal to feed yourself. regardless of it being a cow pig fish or chicken, meat is meat.
nothing with eyes
Yes , that would be a “Flexitarian” or a "Semi-Vegetarian" a person who eat a mostly vegetarian diet, but occasionally eat meat but not red meat.
Vegans do not eat meat of any kind, do not eat eggs, dairy products, processed foods, foods with animal-derived ingredients, or animal bi-products.
they can, but why would they call themselves vegetarians.
Yes there are vegetarians that include chicken and other poultry in their diets. I found a website that called it pollo vegetarian. There are many many types of vegetarians in the world. Some will eat fish, or dairy, or eggs, nothing that came from an animal, or wont even use products such as leather that comes from an animal, and there are even vegetarians that will only eat what has fallen from the plant or tree rather than picked, because you would be hurting the plant.
NO, no, no
I wonder why we get this question ever few days. Are people taking the piss or something ?
A vegetarian does not eat meat, fish , poultry or slaughter by-products.
Its so simple.
This is the internationally accepted formal definition, adopted by all major vegetarian organisations.
Anything else is just made up nonsense.
"finding a website" ( see answer above ) does not validate this rubbish. A dictionary is where defintions come from.
whats with all this semi / flexi / except fish stuff ?????
Is a cow semi-dead ??? No
Allthis fishy/chicken nonscnese has only started since the internet was able to publish such rubbish.
people who incorrectly use the word vegetarian are disrespectul, insulting and cause so much damage to the definition. shame on them all.
I know we are a great bunch, but there is no need to lie to others and yourself just to claim to be one of us.
No a chicken is not a vegetable it is an animal and therefore its flesh = meat. They call themselves Demi-vegetarians but they are omnivores!
Vegetarians do not eat dead animals..period.
NO!
