Can Vegans eat noodles?!

Question:

Can Vegans eat noodles?

Answers:
Heck I wouldn't have survived when I was 13 and left to cook for myself! I was only veggie then but avoided eggs and dairy being too prevalent in my diet for weight issues.

Most pasta is made from durum wheat semolina - that's fine for vegans - as mentioned by most, the main concern is eggs, but normally this will be quite obvious (i.e. fresh noodles in the fridge section or labelled "egg noodles" are clearly not vegan without having to peer up at the ingredients list).

Another issue in my house are the flavourings - my sister and I squabble over getting the nice flavours so much that she has asked for my mum to get some non-vegan flavours to stop me taking them. Flavourings are a little harder to tell, you may need to either contact the manufacturer or a vegan organisation to clear that up.

Yes - they can, if they eat eggs and milk.

Yes if they don't have any animal by product in them. Read the label for ingredients.

Not egg noodles.

home made noodles are made of flour, salt, egg and a touch of water. The question I have is this vegan willing to eat eggs. I am not sure if they would turn out if you left them out but you could try.

If they eat eggs, sure they can.

Have to check the ingredients and make sure there's no eggs or other dairy. Rice noodles are popular. So are soy curds.

As long as the noodles don't contain animal products. Luckily most noodles don't, besides egg noodles.

For all of you talking about eggs and milk: Vegans do not eat eggs or milk by definition. If you meet a "Vegan" that eats eggs or milk that person, by definition, is not a Vegan.

It depends on what kind of noodles you eat. You just have to check the ingredients. I would go to some grocery store and check out the different types of noodles and soups there. I like the Heart Healthy Country Vegetable Soup. It's really good and vegetarian.

as long as there is no egg in them or any other latent animal product.

Vegans don't eat any animal products. As long as the noodles are free of animal products, the answer is yes. That's what labels are for.

ya you can

Some noodles have eggs.

Yes.

Of course. Some noodles have eggs in them, but only stupid noodles. Don't buy stupid noodles.

I used to eat lots of noodles. Too many noodles. Now I'm sick of noodles. My pasta maker is sitting in the back of a cupboard all unloved.
