Vegetarians shrimp?!

Question:

Vegetarians shrimp?

One of my friends is a vegetarian, but she told me that she it only shrimp, is she a vegetarian or not ?

Answers:
by the actual dictionary definition, she is not a vegetarian. shrimp is an animal. my rule of thumb is to ask two questions:
1) does it have a face?
2) does it have a mommy?

If yes is the answer, it's an animal.

There are a gazillion definitions of vegetarian...if thats what she wants to call herself, so be it.

"Vegetarian―There are several categories of vegetarians, all of whom avoid meat and/or animal products. The vegan or total vegetarian diet includes only foods from plants: fruits, vegetables, legumes (dried beans and peas), grains, seeds, and nuts. The lactovegetarian diet includes plant foods plus cheese and other dairy products. The ovo-lactovegetarian (or lacto-ovovege-tarian) diet also includes eggs. Semi-vegetarians do not eat red meat but include chicken and fish with plant foods, dairy products, and eggs. "

If she eats shrimp, then she isn't abstaining from eating meat because seafood is meat. Technically, she is not a vegetarian, but there are a lot of people out there that do eat seafood and call themselves vegetarian even though they really aren't.

She's not a real vegetarian.

Shrimp (just like fish) is meat.

So no, she is not a vegetarian.

No. A shrimp is an animal.

Shimps are animals. She doesn't eat much meat, but she's still not a vegitarion

No. Vegetarians dont eat ANY animals at all.

Some vegetarians eat certain types of fish for health reasons.

Some vegetarians only eat fish which is the healthiest of all meats. High in protien, so im so sick of people saying "OH NO SHE IS NOT A VEGETARIAN SHE ATE A MEAT, LIKE OMG". Shut the hell up.

There are soooo many types of vegetarians out there. She is a semi-vegetarian - someone who may include fish or poultry in their diet. I was told by an Indian friend that the area he is from they consider fish part of a vegetarian diet.

shes a pescatarian* they eat fish but now foul or land beast :)
