Looking for a good, low calorie dinner recipe?
I'm vegan which means I would like a dinner recipe that doesn't contain any animal flesh, dairy products, egg products, refined sugar, or honey. If you have any ideas I'd really appreciate it...everything I make is full of calories. Thank you guys sooo much!!!!

Black beans and rice with veggies on the side. Had this for supper tonight which is why it springs to mind.
Soak black beans for a few hours, rinse well. Add the to a pot with water and boil. When they are almost done (2-3 hours), add some chopped celery, onions, garlic, green pepper (amounts don't really matter), and about 1-2 tsp of cumin.
Brown rice is a very healthy, low cal food. I cook mine with some veg bouillon added for flavor.
For veggies, we had a big veggie salad and also buttenut squash: cut it in half lengthwise, scoop out the seeds and to the hole, add about 1tsp margarine, 1/2 tsp maple syrup (or brown sugar) and sprinkle with nutmeg. Cook at 400F for an hour to an hour and a half.
stir fry maybe? Is being vegan complicated when it comes to eating out? I am thinking of taking this route to loose weight, I think I can give up meat, but definately not carbs!

a really good and easy dish. is pinto bean tacos. soooooo good.
take canned pinto beans and warm them. for less salt rinse off beans then warm them. Warm some corn tortillas put beans in tortillas with lettuce, tomaotes, cucumbers, onions, green peppers whatever you like. Sprink with ms. dash table blend. Sound too simple but i promise you this dish is awesome and very low in calories!
you can also make the veggies into a salad add beans on top and toast corn tortillas in oven and break up over the top. Add ms dash table blend and some of the 1 calorie salad spritzers italian dressing. thats really good too! and very filling!
Try it hope ya like!
