What kind of vegetarian food does Gran Canaria have to offer?!

Question:

What kind of vegetarian food does Gran Canaria have to offer?

And is it easy to get? I'm guessing most restaurants have vegetarian options, but I'm not completely sure.

Answers:
Not much. Omlette. Tomatoes. Lots of them. Banana. Potatoes. But they don't put them together very imaginatively, and since paella will be covered in sea food - honestly, be prepared to have lots of salad.

Gran Canaria is the home of the european Banana. It gets most of ots income from tourism but a close second is its agriculture which it exports to europe. It has a very large selection of excellent quality. Its a Veggies Paradise.

I've been to Tenerife which has its usual 'omelette' or 'pizza' option. Basically, unless you strike lucky, you have the same options as you do here. Try the Canarian potatoes - delicious!

Well you will be restricted, but don't be afraid to ask as often they will make you a dish. typical options are,Patatas pobre, Canarian potatoes. Pisto with pasta is nice.
tortilla de patata spinach croquettas,

Spanish for do you have veg food
Tiene comida para la vegetariana/o

I am a vedetarian
Soy de vegetaiana/o. V sounds like a b.
have a good hol.

Even if on the map you see The Canary Islans near Africa they are as european an any city in the continet. Very touristic orientates, so you won′t have any problemas.
Don′t miss "papas arrugadas" - mmm!

I lived in Tenerife (neighbouring island) for over a year - you'll be fine I'm sure it can't be too different - salads, pasta, pizza, even spanish tapas has some nice veggie options. Or go to supermarkets and stock up - you might find there are english supermarkets (a bit more expensive) - I would check the cheese in supermarkets (rennet wise)
