Can eating meat destroy my diet?!
Can eating meat destroy my diet?
Or is it just the way it is cooked? What If I eat meat that is grilled, roasted, steamed or broiled? Will this be okay if I'm on a low-carb diet?
Answers:
Meat is naturally low carb... so bonus. However, how you cook meat is actually pretty important to the fat content. Choose meat with less fat, and make sure that when you cook the meat it doesn't sit in it's own fat while it cooks. Grilling is the best for this. Grilled chicken and fish are, of course, the best diet meats. But, properly prepared beef and pork are alright too... just watch the fat content of your cuts.
Avoid hamburger, sausages, and hot dogs... these usually have really high fat contents. If you really want a hamburger, have a butcher grind a cut of meat that you personally choose. Yep, you can do that. Oh, and take the skin off the chicken. It doesn't matter if it's before or after you cook it as far as fat content, but if you take the skin off before cooking, the meat can come out really dry.
Good luck...
Meat is good any way you cook it, if you are on a low carb diet.

you can eat all the meat you want as long as you cut carbs out, google atkins diet
depends on you diet
there is a diet that includes steak and salads
grilled is the leanest ,remove all the fat
Well if u put some stuff on it then i dont know if its good. What kind of stuff u want to put on it and i think i dont know is not ok for a low carb diet
meat is high in protein which helps lose weight faster
but make sure u eat meat with little fat
Meat is a source of protein, not carbohydrates. if you are trying to lose weight, then it isn't a horrendous thing to ask, although it isn't to everyone's preference. There are other ways of getting it, such as by eating nuts and pulses, and eggs or egg products. It can also be found in cheese.
I point this out because your question is in the Vegetarian and vegan section. Meat won't make you fat unless it is a fetty meat. If you're concerned, then go for lean meat.
Either way, low-carb diets can be dangerous, so don't overdo it. if you don't eat a lot, or don't get a lot of energy, often when you reach your desire weight and start eating more carbs your body will horde them incase of another time of what it percieved as 'famine'.
You should not go on a low carb diet for more than 2 consecutive weeks. Meat, poultry fish are good in your diet. Favor fish and poutlry to your red meat. And your daily intake should not exceed a third of a pound twice daily. Favor green vegetables.
as long as it isnt something too fatty like kfc or mcdonalds keep it healthy and eat it with veg.
If you are used to being a vegetarian, eating meat suddenly can be hard on your digestive system.
eating meat destroys the enviorment. i discourage eating meat.
