Calling all rice milk users?!
Calling all rice milk users?
So, what's the go with rice milk? I'm looking for a milk substitute and am not keen on soy. Most importantly what are the benefits and drawbacks of using rice milk as a dairy alternative?
Answers:
You will find that rice milk is marketed as a 'health' product so it will cost more than it should. Rice Dream tastes great. You'll notice that on the ingredients, the original contains no additional sugar therefore it's great for kids (if you have kids, you'll see how crazy they get on sugar).
Asian markets also have some different kinds of rice milk too and they taste really good. In my experience, a lot richer and thicker than Rice Dream or other American rice beverages. I just buy it for my daughter and don’t drink it myself because it’s expensive, but it tastes SO good, especially on cereal or with cookies etc. Who knows why it’s so bloody expensive, it’s just rice. When will companies stop ripping us off? Lower the price, I will buy more on a more regular basis and it will become more of a daily consumption than a special treat.

Rice milk doesn't have the protein of soy or dairy.
Rice milk is supposed to be easier on your digestive system.
'Kinda like when you first feed a baby cereal--it's best to use rice cereal.
rice milk is really sweet, but it doesnt have normal protien flow, i think that its good myself, but its kinda your choice, the benifits are that its sweet and not so harsh on your digestive system.
Rice milk is awesome if you buy the vanilla flavor, actually makes your cereal taste better. The only drawback I've found is that it does not heat well. I like a cup of warm milk at night with Ovaltine and it really tastes yuckky !!!!!
soy is better than rice
soy and rice is better then milk
rice is good, but not as good as soy. i would drink the soy over rice
Its the same as soy. I find them to be interchangeable in qualities and use it from time to time.
You can Rice dream at the best price in
a Walmart superstore. I use it in order
to limit the amount of soy that goes in
my body. You can find it enhanced with
b, a, d vitamins and plant sterol.
It taste good and its best with cereal.
It's also easier to digest that soy milk.
