Soy products, like tofu

Tofu, vegetables, and fruit, and sugar.

Peanut butter, eggs, any type of protein (non-meat) will work as a subsituted for meat. Meat is protein.

Its really a matter of personal taste. I am not into the meaty taste but will eat soy jerky and tofurky italian sausage. Try to go to some of the vegetarian web sites to get some ideas of what will work for you.

if you like the taste of meat, but want to be a vegetarian.

then opt for QUORN.

Most of the time you can use Tofu, not a favorite of mine its spongelike if you have never had it. Try marinating tofu for atleast 2 hours prior to cooking. Aonther good substitute would be eeggplant. To prepare eggplant slice it and coat it in salt, this will pull out the bitterness. Then rinse off the salt and marinate if desired and grill, for best results use balsamic vinegar and oil, salt and pepper and grill. Please remember if you decide to cut meat out of your diet try to take supplements to make sure your body is getting all of the nutrients it needs. Enjoy!

there are vegaterian foods, some of which are "suppose to be" replacement for meat but READ THE LABLES, cause some have dairy in it, and if your eating dairy you might as well eat meat as its the same thing, and if you want to know whats in dairy thats so bad email me at [email protected] cause what most folks don't know your eating close to road kill when your eating meat or dairy i would suggest you go to a fruit and vegie diet, now be carefull NOT to eat fruit AND vegitables AT THE SAME TIME, cause when you do the digestion process for vegies which are solid is different than fruits which is mostly water, and the two digestions processes DO NOT mix well in a lot of folks. so be a lable reader and GET RID or LIMIT salt and sodium cause salt makes the body hold water and that makes you fatter, God bless don't forget to PRAY before you eat, by the way free bible lessons learn how to feed the soul too www.itiswritten.com

I like mushrooms, tomatos, and black olives. Just think about a veggie that will go well with the recipe.
Tofu is good, but it is tricky, so read up on it beofre trying it. Firm tofu is my favorite!

But most of all, I love Tofu. It is so versatile. It is great in chinese food, buffalo tofu, Faken... You name it and you can try it.

As long as your not a Vegan you can use Bee Pollen, it is a plant protein but made by bees. It is an excellent product high in vitamins B complex.
