Does anyone out there just think Marmite is 'OK'?!
Does anyone out there just think Marmite is 'OK'?
I mean, you're supposed to either love or hate it, but does anyone just sit on the fence about Marmite?

YUK YUK
i've never tried it so i guess i think its ok yeah
Yeah i only eat marmite when i have a hangover otherwise i rarely eat it. Iv never hated it and iv never loved it.
i am on the fence...i use it for flavoring but do not like it much on toast but will eat it...so i neither love it or hate it....x
would never sit on the fence with marmite
Nope, 'fraid not. I'm in the "Love It" camp! It's the only thing I actually consider taking on holiday with me. when I'm abroad I make a point of not buying "British" food etc, but I rather like to have a small pot of Marmite wherever I'm staying in case I want a quick Marmite sandwich!
It has such a strong, individual taste that it's understandable why it has a love/hate reputation. It would be difficult just to be ambivalent about it.
Yep fence jammed up my butt, It is O.K. for a quick snack when I can't be bothered to stick something in the microwave, otherwise it just sits in the cupboard.
What does it taste like? Anchovies?
I am on the fence about it; I am still getting used to the taste of Marmite on toast.
i LOVE marmite and cucumber sarnies. i used to take marmite and cucumber on toast to school for lunch. yum yum
I've never tried it, so I searched a couple of sites and read about it, it seems to be the British version of Blackstrap Molasses or Sorghum...ya like or ya don't...don't think you'll find too many fence sitters on this one.
its not too bad on toast
yes like it, but can just as easily do without it. Its a change and is tasty.
I've never even seen the stuff in any store. What is it???
Don't know about 'sitting on the fence' but I think Marmite is ok. I've got several small jars of it in my pantry along with an open half-used jar in my fridge. Why do I maintain a stock of Marmite since I 'just think it's ok'? Because Vegemite is illegal here in the US!
To all y'all wondering what Marmite (or for that matter Vegemite) are... They are highly nutritious pastes made from yeast extracts. Marmite is available at many grocers, health food stores and (of course) Amazon.com. Marmite (to me anyway) tastes a little like bacon but since I've not eaten bacon in over 50 years I may be wrong
i find i can take it or leave depending on what mood im in much prefer bovril on toast yum
never tried marmite in my life yet, but i like vegemite (the Australian one)
no i dont i think its lovely
No, love it!
Nope. I love it.
Especially on toast with marmalade.
.
I am kind of. See, I LOVE the taste of it, but I HATE the smell of it. Marmite's bad smell takes away from the experienceof eating it.
Im so keen on trying this stuff. I live in Toronto, Canada, and was just wondering if anyone knows of any shops here that sell it? Thanks
I'm definitely in the "hate it" camp.
I just use it to add colour and extra flavour to soups, stews, gravy etc, but I couldn't eat it on toast. Ugh!
Mmmmm peanut butter and marmite on toast.......
I guess that fits my attitude. It's one of those things I really need to be in the mood for.
i can only eat marmite when i really fancy it whitch isnt very often, but i neither love or hate it !
Yup, I can tolerate it, certainly do not live it but I don't hate it either!
It should be banned from production
No, I hate the stuff even down to the texture !! If hubby asks for toast with marmite the toast is made (easy job) but he is given the marmite jar and a knife !!
Not sit on the fence exactly. Some days I love it, then I'll eat too much of it and won't be able to stand the sight of it for months. So I always have strong feelings about it, they just change a lot.
