Can you cook quorn and then eat it cold day after??!

Question:

Can you cook quorn and then eat it cold day after??

I cooked a Quorn stir fry last night and made too much. Can I eat it cold today - I put it in the fridge on a container over night?

Also if you cook with quorn from frozen to make a mea (say lasagne) can you then freeze that meal even tho the quorn was frozen before you cooked it?

Thanks.

Answers:
yes you can treat quorn just like chicken. As long as you kept it in the fridge it will be safe. also the lasagne example you can treat that just like steak mince, and its ok to freeze once cooked. As long as when you defrost it you cook and eat next day. chuck it any longer after that.

Yeah i do all the time, i eat it raw out the packet too (ignore my pic)

Yes I use quorn to cook lasagna and other dishes and freeze it. It's perfectly fine. I also keep bits till the next day etc etc and never had a problem.

Yes to both questions.

yes course you can.its like saying if you cook a chicken night before can you eat it next day#

yes i am a veggie and reckon most scary food poisoning stuff doesnt affect us( 'cept rice )
quorn is bloomin safe it is just mushroom concentrate mixed with some kind of toejam

Yes, very tasty too.

absolutely, we do that all the time.

yes you can eat it cold and only refreaze something if it has been cooked properly so all you have to do is defrost it and it can be eaten, never, quorn or anything else, refreeze something that hasn't been cooked.

Very versatile stuff, quorn
Yes, it can be eaten cold. And it can be refrozen, as long as it has been properly cooked.

I sometimes mix Quorn with Tvp in pies and call them QT pies

Yes to both your questions, we do it regularly - also went to a friend's house at Christmas and she had had a Quorn roast for lunch - which was delicious cold with a salad at tea time! Yummy yummy in my tummy , as I used to say many years ago.

Yes quorn is already pre-cooked.

yes you can do both as long as when your freezing it from cooked its been cooked properly!and then u re-heat it too a really high temp!
i love cold quorn in sandwiches with chilli sauce and gerkins i no it sounds terrible but i just love it when i have left over!
