What's the diffrence between olive oil and extra virgin olive oil???

# Virgin olive oil has an acidity less than 2%, and judged to have a good taste. There can be no refined oil in virgin olive oil.
# Olive oil is a blend of virgin oil and refined virgin oil, containing at most 1% acidity. It commonly lacks a strong flavor.

they press the olives several times to gain the maximum amount of oil,virgin olive oil is from the very first press,they say the purest and richest flavour.

Olive Oil has been a bit dirty with dear old Popeye

As far as i know Extra virgin is obtained by the first and only pressing of the olives while normal olive oil is obtained by two pressings of the olives...
