Which one is healthier Honey Wheat or Whole Wheat?!
Which one is healthier Honey Wheat or Whole Wheat?
I like white bread better than any of the above but, I do like the Honey Wheat ! Is honey wheat healthy to eat or is whole wheat the healthiest? Thanks!
Answers:
Whole wheat. The best way to know if a bread is good for you is to check the label. If it is made with enriched flour, then it isn't good for you. If it says whole wheat then it is. I'm pretty sure honey wheat is made with enriched flour. Check it out.
Whole Wheat is healthier.
Whole Wheat, the Honey Wheat if it is made with Whole Wheat
i think whole wheat is better for you. theres no sugar.
They are both healthier alternatives to white bread but the whole wheat is healthier. If the honey wheat is made with whole wheat then thats an added bonus but the honey would knock down its healthy factor simply because of the sugar.
I would imagine the Whole Wheat is the healthiest... but honey wheat is still WAYYYYYY better than white. The only reason why honey wheat would be less healthy is because of the higher sugar content (from the honey). So probably more calories than whole wheat. But it should still have whole grain in it, so it's still pretty healthy. I'd compare labels just to be sure... I"m sure there's some that are better than others.
I dont care, I LOVE the honey wheat from Sara Lee!!
whole wheat is the healthiest of the 3 mentioned. but if you want a higher nutritional valued bread, i would recommend the whole- and multi-grain breads. i dont like the taste as much, but they are healither.
always whole wheat
Well that depends. I would read the nutritional facts of both breads, the one with the least amount of fat and the most fiber is healthier.
Unless the honey wheat says it's 100% whole wheat, then it is refined and not healthy. 100% whole wheat is best or at the very least should be the first ingredient.
Read the ingredients on the package. There are so many brands, and so much difference in what they put into breads.
In time, your taste buds will adjust-- A natural healthy whole-grain bread is a wonderful food in itself--- not just a bland sponginess(white bread) that holds the fillings.
Just like rice--- white rice is almost tasteless--- whereas brown rice has texture and flavor and feels like you are eating a real food, as opposed to just pure carbs.
Its all a matter of what you are accustomed to. Eat the white stuff occasionally, if you wish, but like it was a dessert or something-- just for a treat, not as your nutrition source. In time you will grow to like the taste of healthier things. Your body will definitely benefit.
Whole wheat is the healthiest out of the two I would say.
