Offensive???!

Question:

Offensive???

do vegans find eating at a place that serves nonvegan meals offensive?

Answers:
I am not a vegan but my brother-in-law and sister are so I can only speak from my experiences while dining with them. I can tell you that they are very accomodating when it comes to going out for dinner etc in that they say they will find something to eat, for instance, if we find a new restraunt. My brother-in-law has always said he loves to eat meals with me because I'll try new things and really enjoy the food. He also has told me, as we've talked at length about his beliefs, that he as do most of his 'vegan friends' don't find eating at a restraunt that doesn't servve vegan offensive but rather a minor little stepping stone. He can usually find something. Most vegans choose the lifestyle because of animal rights or so I've been told. It's more of a statement than anything.

No. It would be offensive if the staff made a big deal about your requests though. After all, no one is forcing you to eat at the restaurant.

I don't. however, if it smells really strongly of meat, I will begin to feel unwell. I went into a shoe shop that sold only leather shoes and I started to feel naseated and got dizzy and had to leave.
