Be A Vegetarian?!
Be A Vegetarian?
My parent's say no and that it's unhealthy. I've done some research and I still can't convince them. Does anyone have any ideas?
Answers:
you can become a vegetarian if you are aware of what you are consuming. people say that becoming a vegetarian depletes you of proteins supplied in red meat. which is untrue. There are several foods which supply you with missing protein, beans and nuts especially. I have been a vegetarian for 9 years and am raising my daughter the same way. Also, a lot of vegetarians choose to go organic for the simple fact that a lot of the foods that we eat are clogged up with unnecessary additives you dont need.

good luck, ultimatly it is your decision of why you want to be a vegetarian and if you are able to supplement the lack of meats and animal induced foods/resources in your life.
i am thinking of being a vegetarian myself because actually it is quite healthy. I say go for it.
Are you emotional about animals? If not, what are your motives to becoming a vegetarian? Think that thought and talk to your parents again!
tell them it only cost £1.00p or 50cents a month for food,ok
It is very healthy, not for a growing girl however... If you are around 16 or over then it should be okay the things in meat are key for a growing girl.
I don't know what you should do... i like animals but i only eat animals from farms... nothing else from that! Maybe you can be half vegitarian and only eat thje animals on farms... unless you dont like them... My friends mom is a vegitarian and she is half because of that... tell your parents that.
You state that you've some research....have you researched "omnivore"?
I have been a vegetarian for over 13 years and I feel much better overall because of it. Vegetarians are by far healthier than the average American. If you want motivation to become a vegetarian, visit a slaughterhouse or poultry plant. It is horrifying. If you care about your health and are interested in vegetarianism, do your research. Make sure you get enough protein and B vitamins.
Do more research; find a doctor that will back you up. read a lot so you know your stuff. Give them a copy of the China Study. Being a Vegetarian really is not that big of a deal to do. Veganism takes a bit more work, but again it's not nearly as bad as people make it out to be.
T ell your parents that being a vegetarian is very good for your body. This is because u don't eat meat that makes u fat and u start to eat a lot of vegetables, which makes u get in shape.
I've been a vegetarian since I was five, and I feel fine. It's very healthy, if you take right kind of pills and eat healthy nuts and vegetables.
yes Caleb the world has gone mad. Animals are abused and badly mistreated in the slaughter houses. Furthermore, some people are so sick and love meat so much, they are turning to human meat.
So yes Caleb the world has gone mad and there is too much abuse.
I agree with lydzie or however you spell your name. hehe
If is was a deer or animal that we killed ourselves without abuse but kille quickly, like from a farm or a Muslim store, I would eat the meat. Muslims believe in killing animals in a way that is humane just like how Abraham did in the bible.
If your parents are Christian, research how animals were slaughtered in the bible and bring that up to your parents.
Just be yourself.
Read the bible and see.
