What are the reasons regeterians dont eat meat???
i dont eat meat, thats just because i saw this nasty/sad chicken video on pita with pam anderson. i dont miss it at all, and i felt bad eating meat, when i did, so im all good. why, if you dont, dont eat meat? oh, and how do i get the same amount of protien taking place of meat?

To get protein, I use a lot of soy products.
I became a vegetarian because I did not believe in animals getting killed just for my satisfaction of a good meal. Very rarely they take an animal that 'happened' to die to use it for food. They are killed on a farm just to fill our tummy's. That thought makes me sick to my stomach.
I don't miss it at all, though occasionally I wish I could have some bacon, but then the thoughts of sad slaughtered pigs come into my head and I don't want the bacon so much.

Many times because it is a fad and their friends are doing it. Sometimes it is a personal conviction of eating another living thing. Many vegetarians are anemic because of a lack of protien and it is very difficult to get. It can be found in beans and legumes. And in protien supplements.
You can try eating fish for protein since you don't eat meat (like me).
i used to be a vegetarian for 12-13 years, i missed the bacon.lol, but bean and rice burritos with water r very healthy, cheap and deliciouse. r u vegan? if not throw some cheese on there, but if u r not vegan than ur reasoning behind being a vegitarian falls thru.

Avocado is also a good source of protein.

i choose not to eat meat because it is cruel and unneccesary. i find it extremely sad that we raise animals, stuff them full of food, and then slaughter them just because we want our whopper or cheeseburger or whatever. this isn't the stone age, we don't need to go hunt for our food anymore. i have also discovered that the vegetarian diet is much healthier, but i would still be a vegetarian if it wasn't. congratulations, you are making a great choice =) check out www.goveg.com, they will send you a free vegetarian starter kit and they have TONS of videos, facts, recipes, tips, and more for vegetarians. good luck =)
who are regetarians? whose pita? i asume you mean vegetarians and peta (people for the ethical treatment of animals). i dont eat meat because i think its grose to eat animal flesh. i also saw that video about kfc on peta's websight. sooo sad. soy and fake meat has tons of protein.
I have few friends that don't eat meat. It's because their religion, Buddha. One of them said that he doesn't want to kill animals, so he started to be vegetarians when teens.
I think, there are more reasons to be vegetarians. And those may be different with my friend's opinion.
I chose not to eat meat because I can no longer stand the smell or the taste. I've never liked the idea of killing animals when there are other more ecologically sound food sources, and this sudden adversion to the taste and smell just tipped the balance in favor of vegetarianism.
I don't eat meat because I love animals,I don't think you can call yourself an animal lover and eat meat,that is an oxymoron to me.

yeah, peta's videos got me to stop eating meat and i feel a whole lot better about myself. eating tofu, soy, beans, nuts, PEANUTBUTTER!!!!, and protien bars can serve as replacements. also, there are meat replacers full of protien.
