Help! My vegetarian boyfriend wont eat pasta!?
I showed him that Pasta is made out of eggs and now he refuses to eat anything with pasta in it. I respect him wanting to be a vegetarian but he already has such a limited choice of food and he LOVES pasta ...wat should I do?

So? Let him starve! Wow, you must whine a lot!
get egg free pasta.
Your vegan boyfriend can eat other pastas. Read the labels. Not all pasta is egg noodles.
Theres vegan pasta. Try healthfood store.
Try the squash spaghetti or spelt noodles. The spelt is really good and tastes just like regular pasta noodles.
Just let him eat whatever he wants, pasta is super high in carbs so It's not bad at all that he won't eat it.
promise that you will not put eggs into it,,, eewww,,,, and i mean PROMISE cross your heart and hope to die,,, dont try to change him.... let him eat what he wants to eat
Not all pasta is made of eggs. Just read the ingredients to make sure you're not getting him egg noodles.
Check for the eggless pasta at your local market or health foods store. They make it..don't worry.
First off, is he a vegetarian or a vegan? Is it a health issue or an animal rights issue?
Second, there are many vegan pastas. While it is inconvenient for you to find such foods, they basically substitute with a non-egg ingredient. You'd be amazed at how many soy products are available now a days.
Rice
couscous
barley
these are some good alternatives to pasta.
then fix that man a green salad with tomatoes!
It's not your duty to change him. There are tons of vegans in the world - not eating pasta isn't going to kill him as long as he's eating healthy otherwise.
However, eggs are not in every kind of pasta - I think that you both overreacted. I have a box of Barilla pasta in front of me and there are no eggs. Semolina, Duram Flour, Niacin, Iron, Thiamine, Mononitrate, Riboflavin, and Folic Acid are the ingredients. Barilla is an internationally available brand. It's available in all our mass market grocery stores locally.
Head to the grocery store and read ingredients labels. I think that you'll both be surprised at what you find. : )
I am vegetarian as well. Do you have a health food store near you. They sell alot of things that are vegan. also have you checked wheat pasta?
most pastas dont have eggs in it. i'm a vegetarian and i eat pasta. Read the label and show it to him!!
well that's a tough one if i were in your position you should let him eat what he wants but try to perused him that pasta isn't bad
Not all paste is made from eggs - generally fresh pasta is and dried pasta isnt butthis is not always true. Why don't you try some alternative foods, thee are lots of ideas here : http://www.recipesforvegans.co.uk...
good for him. Pasta has lot of carbs.
Dried pasta does not have eggs... only fresh pasta does
Pasta is NOT made out of eggs
Only egg pasta is
Tell your mislead boyfriend that it isn't
Show his the ingredients on the box!!
well, he could be vegan?
it's just his choice.
so i would respect it.
only if he's a vegan or lacto vegetarain he wont eat eggs, there are vegan/egg free pastas
Tell him most Vegetarians do eat eggs. That it is Vegans that don't eat eggs. Or you can make an eggless pasta for him. Not all pasta is made from eggs! You can make perogie dough with flour, water, alittle baking pwder a few drops of cooking oil! With perogie dough you can make nearly all kinds of pasta!
let him live his life. he is entitled to his own opinions and you shouldn't try to change him.
Most dried pasta doesn't have eggs. Egg noodles do, but most other dried pastas don't. Show him those boxes! Other than that, you better get good at making rice dishes...
Go to a natural foods market and buy vegetarian friendly pasta.
He doesn't have a limited choice of food. And if you use dry pasta, it rarely has egg in it. Check the package before you buy, and show him the package.
Also, do both of you a favor and look for some vegetarian cooking courses to take together. At the very least, take the courses yourself. It tells your boyfriend that you do care and that you are both accepting of his choices and willing to expand your own skills. Such a course will prove to you that vegetarians have a broad range of choices. There is a saying that you know that you're a vegetarian when you know more about another person's cuisine than does that person.
I've only known egg noodles to have eggs. Whole wheat pasta and regular pasta (spaghetti, angel hair etc) don't have egg in it.
