Is it ok to wear uggs?!

Question:

Is it ok to wear uggs?

I'm concerned about animal rights, but uggs look so cool. Is it ok to wear uggs, or where can you get imitation uggs? (In the mall)

Well, uggs are definetly dead animal, so wearing them isn't exactly sticking up for their rights. But it depends on your morals- will it make you feel guilty to purchase them? Just remember that if you do, then you can't get all preachy about not wearing fur/ leather/ etc without looking like a hypocrite.

I'd assume that they can't go around selling imitation uggs in the mall, because of some copyright or whatever. However, there may be some vegan alternatives online. Probably not, but you might find some if you do a search on it. Who knows?

1. Uggs are ugly.
2. Uggs = animal skin.

Duh?

Do you plan on eating them?

Well, first of all, unless you live in Alaska, uggs don't look "cool". Secondly, you're supposed to wear shoes to protect your feet, not to look "cool". Are you like in 8th grade? Sorry to be rude sweetie but you shouldn't live your life to look "cool"! Third, uggs make your feet stink. I think that's sexy but most guys would run a mile when you take those uggs off.

you can find fake ones pretty much anywhere. you can wear fake ones without hurting any animals and look cool! i have fake ones and i love them!

wow. this is the first time i learn that ugg boots are natural animal skin. my gf has them and never told me that

One person makes a huge difference.
If you are really concerned about animal rights, don't murder them shoes.

If you concerened about animla rights then why would you wear sheep skin ? .. its simple
And uggs are ugly .. "ugg" stands for ugly .... look it up

Please don't get them. They are made from sheepskin, so you will be hurting animals, should you get them. And they are ugly...
