From a vegitarians point of view...?!

Question:

From a vegitarians point of view...?

If you are not a vegetarian I ask you please don't answer this question. I'm not saying im for it or against it, but I was just wondering if the world did not eat meat, this world would be overcome by animals. what is a vegatarians take on this?

Answers:
No sweetie we wouldn't. See if people stopped over breeding them in the first place for slaughter then there wouldn't be any to kill. The meat that you eat is from over breed cow, chickens, etc... If we all stopped eating meat the animals would breed naturally and it wouldn't be too much.

I hope that answered it.

Hm, it could be true. I never thought about it. Although I"m sure animals would be killed for other purposes and in the food chain animals consume others so it might as well just even out there.

Animals would most likely be killed humanely to keep overpopulation from occurring, as opposed to the inhumane mass slaughter for consumption purposes.

no no no all the animals we eat are raised to be eaten. also bad for the enviornment. when they are butchered they release bad hormones..

I have been a vegetarian since I was 5.

I have no problems with people eating animals as a source of food. I have problems when people use animals to test on makeup, use in fur, and other things, like shoes, belts, etc.

Eating meat is a form of population control. If nobody ate meat, what would we do with all the extra animals?

I don't eat meat because I do not like the taste, but other than that, I leave it up to the other person whether they would like to eat it or not. My boyfriend is not a vegetarian, and it doesn't bother me.

People say that all the time.animals keep a natural balance in nature.the animals that we do eat are the one's that we breed specifically for food.Like cows, pigs, chickens.we kill(in the U.S.) 10 billion animals every year, that number represents only land animals,we also kill millions of fish.if we didn't eat meat in the first place,we wouldn't breed these animals.the animals we eat aren't born naturally.the animals like cows are artifically impregnated and are kept impregnated so they keep giving milk(the factory farmer orders the sperm, injects it into the cow to impregnant it,many female cows never even see a bull,so they can't get pregnant). The male calves are thrown away, killed,or raised for veal since they don't give milk.Animals would not take over the Earth if we didn't eat them.

I'm sorry if I sound rude but this is a load of crap! Where do you think animals grow? Do you seriously imagine we shoot a cow in the forest to get our beef? We RAISE them! They are grown in factory farms for meat consumption! If no one ate meat, the current generation of animals would probably be put to death (which would happen anyway), but no more animals would be raised. Therefore, no more animals would be killed. Pigs, cows and chickens are not wild animals! They don't breed and produce offspring unless the farmers allow them to. The only case in which your argument may apply is deer, because deer are wild animals - but how many people eat venison on a regular basis? Very few. So those wouldn't make any impact.

Jeez, go and find out where we get our food from. Everything is controlled! If everyone stopped eating broccoli, would broccoli invade every field in the world? No, farmers would just stop growing broccoli!

I suppose the factory farms would shut down and stop hatching ninety million genetically modified chickens per year. Likewise the pig breeding would decline- no reason to artificially inseminate to create 30 million pigs if no one's eating bacon. Maybe the buffalo could roam again instead of cows? Think of all the manure that wouldn't be in open lagoons...think of how many people would loose weight. The planet would be overcome by people due to the drop in the number of heart attacks.

No because all the animals in farms are raised and bred, the farm industry breeds ALOT in the wild animals would not breed in unnatural numbers like that so no.

No we wouldn't be overrun with animals because animals are born and raised purely for human consumption. If all humans stopped eating meat, animals would not be raised in this way. Of course wild animals would exist, but they would be born and die as nature intended.
