Freezing food- whats the best containers to use?!

Question: Freezing food- whats the best containers to use?
I just found out I'm pregnant with Baby #2 and I remember after Baby #1 I didn't have much time for cooking. I'd like to freeze some meals ahead of time before baby gets here. I have frozen soups and chili before in mason jars and that worked fine but I'm curious what kind of containers or system can I use for meals such as lasagna or chicken pot pie, etc. Would I buy some disposable foil pans? If so, what would I use to cover the top? Or just use the plastic tops that come with it? But is that leaving too much air in the container? I'd like to avoid using plastic if I can just because I'm paranoid of the BPA leeching into the food... lol

Answers:

Glass containers with a plastic or rubber top are probably your best bet. You can also buy these plastic covers with an elastic band that look like shower caps and they can fit over whatever pan or dish you use, they come in a bunch of different sizes and they are very handy because I'm always losing lids for some reason.
