Answers:
I have never heard of that!. My children have had mono and that is not a way to get better!. You shoudl also have protein!. If you want food ideas for health reasons, here are a few:
1!. experiment with vegetable stir frys and different sauces!. Our fav is shcezchuan sauce (broccoli, caulerflower, peppers, mushrooms, celery, bok choy/sweet potato)
2!. Asparagus steamed drizzled w/ olive oil, lemon juice and pine nuts
3!. Steamed broccoli w/ cream of mushroom sur and cheese
4!. roasted red peppers (peel the skin) topped w/ garlic and vinigarette dressing
5!. Chopped avocado, shrimp, a few spoons of salsa and chopped peppers!. Makes a great mix that can be stuffed in pitas and topped w/ cheese
6!. cucumber/tomato salad seasoned w/ salt, a drizzle of oil and sprinkled w/ feta cheese
7!. saute large mushroom caps, add 2 tsp of soy sauce!. you can use this as a side or add it as filling in am omletteWww@FoodAQ@Com

Sweet potatoes and other orange veggies because of the high amount of beta carotene, you are going to need all that you can get to help fight mono, bell peppers , leafy greeens and brocolli are also good!. Coconut oil may have some immune benefits and fresh mushrooms help stimulate white blood cells!. Don't seem you will be getting enough protein if you eat that way for 3 months!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

All three of my boys had mono when they were teens!. They were never put on a vegetarian diet!. Eating protein would help keep your strength up!. My boys ate regular foods!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
