Can you tell if an egg is fresh enough to use without breaking it?!

Question: Can you tell if an egg is fresh enough to use without breaking it!?
Answers:
The water trick is a great way to tell and has been used for a long time !.!.!.!.!.!.!.

Place the egg into a bowl of water!. The water level should be deeper than the egg's length!. Observe what the egg does!.

Fresh eggs will sink to the bottom of the bowl and lie on their sides!.

Slightly older eggs (about one week) will lie on the bottom but bob slightly!.

If the egg balances on its smallest end, with the large end reaching for the sky, it's probably around three weeks old!.

Eggs that float at the surface or had a rotten egg smell are bad and should not be consumed !.!.!.!.!.

Or just think about it this way !.!.!.!.!.!.!. if you can't remember when you bought the eggs, it is time for you to buy new ones !.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. why take the risk over a few eggs !.!.!.!.!.!.!. egg cartons have sell by dates on the sides and the American Egg Board says eggs keep 4 to 5 weeks, in their carton in the refrigerator, without losing "significant quality!." !.!.!.!.!.!.!. if in doubt, be safe and buy new eggs !.!.!.!.!.!.!. = )Www@FoodAQ@Com

First, check the date on the carton, or sometimes right on the egg!. However, another trick is to put the egg in a glass of water!. If It sinks down, it is fresh!. If it floats, you are better off getting rid of it!. Somewhere in between is probably OK!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Place the egg in a bowl of water!. If it sinks it is fresh!. If it stands on its narrow end, it's not so fresh, but still okay!.
If it floats or bobs up and down it's rottenWww@FoodAQ@Com

IF THE EGG FLOATS TOP END (LITTLE END) UP IT IS GOOD FOR EATING ALONE ( LIKE FRIED OR SCRAMBLED) IF IT FLOATS BOTTOM END (BIG END) UP IT'S BETTER FOR RECIPES, IF THE EGG FLOATS AT THE TOP OF THE WATER JUST DON'T EVEN TRY IT!. THROW IT OUT IMMEDIATELY!.!.!.!.!. IF THE EGG SINKS, THAT'S A REAL GOOD FRESH EGG!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If it doesn't float when you put in in a bowl of water they are Ok!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

float it in water
it sinks OK
actually floats sorry!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
