Why is cotton candy pink?!

Question: Why is cotton candy pink!?
Answers:
It doesn't have to be pink!. I have seen other colors of cotton candy, like blue and purple!. That's because all there is to cotton candy is sugar and food coloring and air!. It's just sugar heated then spun into a floss (hence it's original name, "Fairy Floss"--a French nickname is "Papa's Beard" so that implies it can be left white too)!. Pink must just be the color that's most popular, so that is what is considered the classic color for cotton candy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
