My friends has invited me to a crawfish boil this weekend. What would be an appropriate dessert to bring?!
It is to be a noon event!. There will be lots of people!. Should I take something rich and sweet or something fruity and cool!? Any ideas!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Bring 1 or 2 watermelons iced down in a cooler box!. The host will provide a big knife for cutting, I'm sure!. Can't get simpler, and they will be very refreshing after a spicy meal of boiled crawfish!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Something in between !. A favorite of people in Louisiana is bread pudding with a brandy sauce!. It's rich and sweet and you can also make it fruity with peaches!. Take some day old bread, preferable french loaf and tare into chunks!. About 2 loaves should be enough!. 6 egg yolks!. 1 cup sugar !. 1 tsp!. vanilla extract!. 1 tsp!. cinnamon!. You can add peach slices to it!. Reserve the juice for moisture!. You will need enough heavy cream to soak into the bread!. You want the bread very wet but not soupy!. Bake on 325 until it comes out the texture of a cake!. The brandy sauce is 1 cup sugar to 1 cup water, 2 Tbl!. butter!. Put on medium heat until the sugar has dissolved!. It should be at a gentle boil!. Let it boil for about 10 minutes!. Remove from heat and add 2 shot brandy and 1 tsp!. vanilla!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. Cut the pudding into squares!. Bottle the brandy sauce!. That way if someone dosen't want or like brandy they don't have to have it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I would vote on the ice down watermelon (around four would be good for a large size crowd) you could also take alnong some canteloupe and or honeydew melon!. The watermelon would be your best bet though!. Don't forget to take along some wet wipes to clean up your hands and face after eating!. This will help with the clean up of the crawfish as well!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
