Answers:
if it's a baked cheesecake no problem use regular
if it's a refrigerated not baked type you will need to make powdered sugar: Sugar 1 cup
* 3/4 cup granulated sugar + 1/4 c!. corn starch proccess in blender till smooth=
confectioners'
or powderedWww@FoodAQ@Com

powdered sugar usually has corn starch in it (to help absorb moisture and avoid clumping)!. There may be some 'binding' that occurs for this particular recipe that relies upon that small amount of corn starch!.

personally, I would use regular sugar, and if I was concerned about the binding (depending on the overall recipe), I may add a tsp of cornstarch!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

regular suger melts quicker and is not as smooth!.!.it can be used but you may want to check for a conversion chart because I dont think that one cup of powdered sugar is the same as one cup of granulated sugar!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I believe they use powdered sugar so that it blends better, you can probably use regular, but use a mixer if possibleWww@FoodAQ@Com

You can use regular sugar, but the powdered stuff will make a smoother texture!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I used regular sugar when I made a cheesecake, it will be fine! The sugar will pretty much turn to powder once it's all mixed and blended = )Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you put the regular sugar in a blender, it will make it powdered sugarWww@FoodAQ@Com

If you take some cornstarch and mix it with regular sugar then it will make powder sugar!Www@FoodAQ@Com
