Do you think it's unnescesary to have Taco Bells in Mexico?!

Question: I was reading the newspaper and it said that they just opened a Taco Bell restaurant in Monterrey Nuevo Leon and it's been 15 years since they had a Taco Bell in Mexico. I like Taco Bell but it's not actual mexican food and do you really think they should sell their fake american tacos in a country where there's already tacos?

Why would they want fake mexican food?

i think that its good for tourists who don't know real Mexican food. it will probably do okay. if i went to Mexico i would certainly want the real thing, i am not a closed minded eater.

Actually, it's kind of silly, who would want T.B. when they can get the 'real' thing.....................not me!!

I thought the same thing until I had to travel with business colleagues who were afraid to eat the local food. I love the local food and wouldn't ever eat at a Taco Bell in the US or anywhere.

Not all people like "authentic" mexican food. Taco Bell is completely a different taste. Im sure they will appreciate it there too.
Not only because it tastes great but its "fast" food and convenient.

TOTALLY - The Mexicans should do what the French have done to American fast food joints - chase 'em out!!!

Locals will probably eat there too. It's fast food and probably open for longer hours than the local taco places.

It's kinda like asking "why would anytown USA want a McDonalds when they already have restaurants that make hamburgers and fries?"

No it's not a bad idea at all to have a Taco Bell in Mexico.Restaurant chians can open up new restaurants anywhere they want.

Why not?

I'm sure those in Mexico would want some "American" food.

Besides there's only so much lengua, ojo, cabeza and tripa I can have on a vacation.

I think it's ok for tourist....but why will they do that though? usually tourist love the real mexican food. that's just a waste of money. Then again who knows? It's fast food and maybe mexico wants to try some american foods. So there can be some good things about it as well. =]

I'm mexican but Taco Bell don't like because don't made with the true recipe mexican tacos!!!.

yes real mexican food is much better

taco bell is americanized Mexican food. so i guess my answer is no its not unnecessary . I am sure that the Mexicans like to have an American twist on there food. Americans like to have food that has other cultures mixed. Taco pizzas, for example Mexican, Italian and yet it's all American. Know what i mean:)

It's unnecessary to have them in any location.
