what makes bruchetta different than mex salsa?!

Question: What makes bruchetta different than mex salsa?
just the olive oil? what's your favorite?

Answers:

Bruschetta is more similar to pico de gallo than salsa. Salsa is the Spanish word for sauce and can refer to any kind of sauce...not just the tomato kind you eat with tortilla chips. Pico de gallo is a rough chop and not a sauce. The main difference between pico de gallo and bruschetta is that bruschetta uses basil normally, while salsa normally uses cilantro, and also has some sort of chile.

Oh if you ever get a chance just cut up a fresh tomato, sprinkle some olive oil and fresh basil over it in a bowl toast some good bread and just eat it together. it is one of the best combinations of fresh food ever! (minus the oil). Mexican salsa tends to keep the juice of a tomato in the mix, and they use cilantro and tons of it, that's why that taste so good. Personally it's the herbs that make the biggest difference between the fresh basil and the fresh cilantro. For bread, Bruschetta is better in my opinion, and for chips it's salsa. Only because the crunch works well vs. the softness of the bread.

Salsa is a sauce/dip.

Bruschetta is an appetizer; it is grilled bread plus some type of topping(s).
