Should I buy myself a microwave conviction oven?!

Question:

Should I buy myself a microwave conviction oven?

How is it better than regular microwave ovens,if so. How much would it costHow does one work.

Answers: The Microwave/Convection oven is a combination oven that uses both microwave and heat to cook. It has a heating element and a microwave generator. Some of them can even broil.

They work very well and most can be used as either a microwave, an oven or both at the same time. They are VERY expensive but if you can afford it they are quite nice. Especially if you replace both a microwave oven and a toaster oven with it because it takes a lot less counter space than having to have two separate appliances. I had one for years but it finally broke down and I have not had a chance to replace it yet.

B a "microwave conviction oven"?????

Is that one that gives you a guilt trip when you've done something wrong, convictingyou of wrongdoing?!?!? :D :D :D

I don't think they are all that. I had a friend that had one. It took up a lot of counter space, and she mainly used the nuker part of it. Yes we are thinking of buying one too, but, we are doing to do one that is a range hood combo, you know the one's that go above your stove so they save space. I saw some inexpensive ones online for about $250, they do go much higher than that. But I think it cooks like and oven and then also like a microwave. I heard that it's not as unsafe as a microwave. A convection oven augments a traditional oven by circulating hot air using a high temperature fan. Food warms faster in a convection oven because the moving air strips the thin layer of air which would otherwise surrounds and insulate the food. Convection ovens can operate at a lower temperature than a traditional oven and cook food quicker. They can also bake food more evenly. It would cost at least $6,000 for an industrial convection oven, and it would cost at least $24 for a convection oven to use at home. Well, first off, it's a convection oven, I imagine a conviction oven would be the electric chair; however I digress...
A microwave- convection oven provides the best of both worlds, speed with classic results. I.E., properly browned food that retains it's initial cooking heat. Unlike microwaves that leaves food colorless & rubbery, that cools almost as quickly as it heated up. There are pizzerias using this technology, quite successfully, I might add. Yes; by all means, if you can afford it ( They're a bit pricy), knock yourself out & enjoy your new toy, you'll like it.
