My personal recipe collection

This one has been a winner for me...

You can add more ginger if you like the taste and use rice noodles (steamed for about two minutes after soaking for 20) as a starch.

Spaghetti Carbonara: Boil 8 oz. spaghetti until al dente. Meanwhile, saute 4 cloves mashed, minced garlic in 1 TBS. olive oil. Fry 1/2 lb. bacon until crisp. Beat 2 large eggs with 1 tsp salt, pepper and onion powder. Drain pasta. Return to pan and pour eggs over, then olive oil with garlic. Add bacon and toss well. Serve with freshly grated parmesan cheese.

Cocktail meatballs-

2 bottles Heinze Chilli Sauce
1 Jar Grape Jelly
Frozen Meatballs

Sounds wierd, but they always go faster then anything else.

Every one likes my Vegetable Chowder and Seafood Salad quite well. They also seem to like any type of dessert that I make.

anything i make my guests love

I make the best Swedish Meatballs, and everyone swears by them.....that is my most requested dish I make besides my chili.

Pasta Carbonara, I always make sure I have all the ingredients in the house at all times so can make it at a moments notice. The one I use is found in Nigella Lawson's book "How to Eat". It's so delicious and super easy to make, people think I'm a great cook!!

Creme Brulée when I have people over, I'm not sharing my recipe for that!!

Broccoli Salad is what people request that I bring to all the BBQ's and potlucks and stuff.

1 large head of broccoli
1/2 package bacon, fried very crisp and crumbled
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (old is best!)
1 small red onion, sliced very thin

For the dressing,
1/2 cup mayo
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup white vinegar.

Whisk together the dressing ingredients, pour over salad ingredients, toss.
Even bettter the 2nd day!

my guests usually consist of firefighters and their wives, girlfriends and friends. I like to put out alot of appetizers. From meatballs done on the crockpot, mini tacos(huge hit by the way), sausage balls(bisquick recipe, easy) veggie tray, meat and cheese tray. I am not one to have people bring something to my house I love to prepare all the food and a lot of it. Who deserves to be waited on for what they do for all of us ----a firefighter.

Could be so many recipes. A favourite is canton noodles with strips of chicken, bell pepper and bean sprout sometimes. Real delicious!

i have noticed when i make sausage balls. i dont have any left over.

Turkey Taco salads
I usually make the salsa from dry roasted anahiem or serreno chilies
I cook the ground turkey with salsa then serve it over iceburg with chesse, sour cream and green onions

a layered taco dip with served with nacho chips, always a big hit for any get togethers.

I use refried beans, jalopeno dip, cheese, tomatoes, black olives & lettuce
