Question: What should I expect at a Hookah Bar?

A women who I went to pre-school with and I met again on the internet. We haven't seen each other in nearly 20 years and tonight for the first time we are meeting again. Amazingly we are both adventurous and have decided to try something new. A Hookah Bar. Neither one of us have ever been to such a place and are curious as to what we will encounter. Any suggestions or comments that could help will be greatly appreciated.

First of all, Shisha tobacco has got NOTHING to do with marijuana (so just ignore that particular comment above).

The scene inside a hookah bar is usually pretty cozy. Lounging pillows, Moroccan lamps etc.
Great for sitting around and chatting.

Smoking shisha is nice - even for non-smokers.
You might have a choice between several fruity flavors (apple, berry etc) which taste and smell pleasantly sweet.
Once lit, just put the pipe to your mouth and suck in the smoke.
You may feel a slight sense of lightheadedness, but nothing too intense.
Expect your "portion" to last around 10 minutes or so.

Basically, the point is to relax and enjoy the company around you.
So have fun!

its safe they allow kids 13 and up to smoke hookah
so what you can expect is alot of Moroccan theme decorations and big comfy pillows on the floor where you sit , like flat couches around a giant hookah bong
and when the lady comes you can ask what flavors they have and choose the flavor you want. she will start it up for you and basically you take the handle of the long tubes and smoke the hookah , cold flavorful smoke , you will be amazed how much smoke comes out when you exhale. its just a social thing where you sit and chat , they also sell moroccan food too and drinks
ask for a bubble maker. what you do is she brings out a plate of bubble soap and a cardboard tube and u blow smoke into the ube from the other end blowing a huge smoke bubble. the goal is to gently pull the tube away from the bubble so it seals itself and floats around . its super fun :)
and no the tobacco you smoke has no nicotine and wont get you hooked to cigs

Basically a marijuana bar. A hookah is a marijuana smoking device. All the food and drinks are made with marijuana somehow. except for maybe the tap water, lol.

Hookah Bar is fun but not all that... after a while it makes you light headed!!! Its just smoking flavored tabacoo. But its a fun place to hang at with friends!!! Good luck
